Blue Raiden is Raiden's DLC costume, based on his very first appearance, as seen in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. Although it was initially only available as a pre-order exclusive, this costume was made available for free on August 29th, 2013, as part of the "Heavy Hitters" free costume pack.

Trivia[]
- While based on Raiden's first appearance in Metal Gear Solid 2, his face and hair resemble White Raiden.
- If using Blue Raiden when fighting Polygon Man, Raiden's hair looks light purple.
- This is one of the only things that represent the Metal Gear Solid series. Although the game represents the Rising series mainly.
- Blue Raiden's promotional artwork uses the same face from a promotional image for the Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection.
