Dark Eco is a substance from the Jak and Daxter series. It is an unstable Eco of immense power. With its ability to warp and mutate, Dark Eco is considered the most dangerous kind of Eco, and was responsible for Jak's Dark powers and turning Daxter into an Ottsel.

- Dark Eco replaces the lava in the lava pits in Black Rock Stadium after the Rift Gate opens.
- Jak has 2 guns that uses dark eco as fire-power, the Peace Maker and Mass Inverter.
- Jak's level 2 super has him transform into Dark Jak, and then perform the Dark Bomb move. He gains this ability through the power of Dark Eco, and can be seen emitting small streaks of purple lightning during the transformation, a sign of his eco power.
