Devil May Cry is a series of hack n' slash character action games developed by Capcom. In 2013, the series was rebooted with Ninja Theory's DmC: Devil May Cry.
The Dante that appears in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is based off of the rebooted universe created by Ninja Theory.

Connection with All-Stars[]
- Dante appears as a playable character in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.
- Kat appears as a Minion.
- Some of Dante's alternate colors reference other characters from the Devil May Cry series.
- Many characters from the Devil May Cry series, including Vergil, Nero, Lucia, Trish , Lady, Sparda, classic Dante, as well as the reboot versions of Dante, Vergil's mask, Stygian, and the Hunter appear as unlockable Icons for the player. Some of these character references carry over to the player card Backgrounds too.
- The Demon Hunter trophy earned for completing Arcade mode with Dante showcases a picture of classic Dante's Ebony & Ivory pistols.
