Practice Large is a group of stages in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale that is original to the game. It is part of the Training Stages of the game: there are no hazards by default, and they are supposed to be the most neutral stages. The stages of this group measure 40 meters. The default layout of this group is a grey grid.

Practice Large 1[]

PL Layout

The Practice Large 1 stage is the biggest variant of the Training Stages without platforms available in the game.

Practice Large 2[]

PL2 Layout

Layout of Practice Large 2

The Practice Large 2 stage is the biggest variant of the Training Stages using platforms available in the game. The placement of the platforms makes playing in this stage quite tricky. This stage is, generally, not much appreciated due to this reason.

Practice Large 3[]

PL 3

Layout of Practice Large 3

The Practice Large 3 stage is the second type of the biggest variant of the Training Stages using platforms. This stage is unused and NOT available in the game, although the assets are all inside. It's possible to enable this stage through modding. For some reason, the grid layout loaded for the platforms is the layout from Practice Medium. The placement of the platforms makes playing in this stage not as tricky like Practice Large 2. It probably is the most "usable" layout for the Practice Large group.

Practice Large 4[]

PL4 Layout

Layout of Practice Large 4

The Practice Large 4 stage is the third type of the biggest variant of the Training Stages using platforms. This stage is unused and NOT available in the game, although the assets are all inside. It's possible to enable this stage through modding. For some reason, the grid layout loaded for the platforms is the layout from Practice Medium. The placement of the platforms makes playing in this stage extremely frustrating, with the giant platform at the center of the stage often getting in the way. It is the worst layout for the Practice Large group.

Moreover, this stage suffers of glitches: if more than 2 characters are playing in the game, once the loading is completed such characters and the HUD will take a good amount of seconds to spawn (10 in average). If a game is played and completed in this stage, after the characters' outros the game will get stuck in a black screen for even minutes before actually reaching the match summary screen.

Trivia[]

  • The Practice Large, Practice Medium and Practice Small stages are probably the only stages that come from the early development of the game, when it was still named Title Fight.
  • Online (when the servers of the game were still available) and with PS Vita Ad Hoc feature, it is possible to play with the unused stages as long the devices have the same mod applied.
