The Sonic Rift in action
In ModNation Racers, the Sonic rift can be obtained by leveling up a Sonic bomb by collecting item pods. When the Sonic Rift is fired, it will be sent forward and if it manages to hit a racer, it will temporarily stun them, including their kart. However, the Sonic Rift can be avoided by using a shield.
Connection With All-Stars[]
The Sonic Rift appears as an item and functions in an identical way as it does in ModNation Racers. The Sonic Rift gets sent forward and stuns any fighters which is in it's path.
