The Professor is a major character from the Ape Escape franchise.
Biography[]
The Professor (ハカセ Hakase) is Natalie's grandfather and the inventor of the Peak Point Helmets (also known as Pipo Helmets). He is a good man at heart, though he can be a little distracted at times. He handles things in the lab and creates gadgets for Spike to use, such as the famous Time Net and Stun Club.
Connection with PSASBR[]
The Professor appears in the level Time Station where he and Natalie are watching Specter attack the players. The Professor also appears in Spike's intro and ending.
He also appears as an icon that you can select once you have reached Rank 11 with Spike.
The Professor is also confirmed to appear as a DLC Minion that can be purchased for $0.49. However you can also buy him as part of Minion Pack 1 for $1.99 or Minion Super Pack 1 for $4.99.
Trivia[]
- While all other Ape Escape characters in the game are voiced by their respective actors from the UK version of Ape Escape: On The Loose, the Professor is instead voiced by his US Ape Escape 2 voice actor, Jay Snyder, who also played Spike in the same game.
- Likewise, the Professor in prior games was also originally voiced by veteran seiyū Jōji Yamani in Japanese.
